Door Handing

Handing is done standing outside of a door and seeing which way the door swings. The two simplest cases are shown above. The handing for interior handle sets for entrance handles is done by the door handing, so if the door handing is left-hand, the interior set should be a left-hand too.

If the function you are ordering is marked 'Not Handed', then either the device does not require handing due to its inherent construction or it is field-reversible (levers that can be switch in the field). The Schlage F Series and Schlage Accents Collection use field-reversible levers in the privacy, passage and entrance functions.
